VeryFirstTo, Proud Galleries and Dorothy Bohm would like to invite you to join us at the launch party of Dorothy Bohm: Sixties

Proud Chelsea and VeryFirstTo are pleased to announce this stunning exhibition of photographs by Dorothy Bohm, one of the most productive, respected and wide-ranging photographers of our time. Born in Germany in 1924 and resident in the UK since 1939, London has been her home since 1950. This collection of images, many of them never seen in public before, was selected by the photographer’s daughter Monica Bohm-Duchen in consultation with Dorothy herself. It reveals her very personal vision of 60s London as both foreign and familiar; a city of  vivid contrasts where youth culture meets age-old tradition. In retrospect, her visually striking, humane and often witty photographs convey a poignant sense of transience and nostalgia for a vanished era.

        VeryFirstTo gold members gained access to the preview event of ‘Coldplay and Paris for Kids Company’ exhibition at Proud Camden. Guests were able to view artwork featured on the bands Mylo Xyloto album cover alongside other works by Coldplay and Paris. Never before seen tour images were also exhibited. Chris Martin made a guest appearance and speech; other well-known personalities were also in attendance. The successful event raised over £100k on the night, all proceeds of which went to the Kids Company Charity.

      • Silver Age of Hollywood Exhibition - Launch Party7th November 2012
        Hollywood dreams

        Proud Chelsea delivered an engaging retrospective of photographer Bob Willoughby’s career. The exhibition titled ‘Bob Willoughby: The Silver Age of Hollywood’, showcased a prestigious collection of limited edition, signed, silver gelatin prints, featuring stars such as Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Sean Connery, Frank Sinatra, and James Dean in front of and behind the camera in some of their most iconic motion pictures. The private view enabled guests - which included VeryFirstTo members - to be the first to see and purchase the prints.
